The culture

The only thing that distinguished bboying back in the days with other dance forms was “Downrock” or “Footwork” as we call it. This technique of moving your body on all four’s was so original and revolutionary that it gave breaking its own unique image and an acknowledgement as a separate dance genre. Celebrating 40th Anniversary of Hip-Hop

Old generation vs New generation poppers POPPING EXHIBITION BATTLE ARCHI - Poppin archi started his hand at the dance form in 2009,he soon took over the small scene that existed in Mumbai by doing performances and exhibition battles across the city in over 15 jams,most notably the art of war jam and winning the culture solo popping championship back in 2011,he inspired a generation of poppers in Mumbai and across India with his role as vicky in Channel Vs Dil,Dosti,Dance series. His job commitments towards his show did not limit him from growing in the dance form even though he has been away from the scene for a year now,he is all set to make a comeback in a 2 on 2 exhibition battle along with long time partner ET from Freak N Stylz Crew and no better place than Culture to leave a mark again. - ET - Although he is known as a bboy more in the present day,back in the day ET tried his hand at the dance form of popping as early as 2003 learning his trade from youtube tutorials,known for his sick waves and rubber like moves he was one of the earliest poppers in the Mumbai scene when there were just 2-3 poppers in all,making several television appearances and teaching the art to many boys and girls alike,he is known for his original style,humour and a sick routine maker. ET quit popping after his crew split in 2009 and took his shape as a bboy and Freak N Stylz crew leader,he has never entered a popping competition as back then there were no jams,until recently upon attending salahs workshop,he decided to make a comeback with long time partner in crime Archie and no better place than the culture for his comeback when these two old timers will face the top guns of popping in Mumbai. - Tushar Kapoor aka crazy Chester (C.C) I AM HIPHOP - Popping Champion of THE CULTURE 2012 - Solo winner at Channel V nokia India fest 2012.
